Where my illustration projects all began. Judge taught me valuable graphic design and illustrative skills that I utilize daily with in my career.
My journey into illustration began at Flagler College, where I participated in a community Design-A-Thon for local organizations. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office requested a children’s coloring book for their educational events, and our team created a quick concept featuring one of their standout K-9 units, Judge.
There’s always room for improvement.
While the overnight effort was an accomplishment, I saw an opportunity to improve it, so in my senior year, I applied to work with the Sheriff’s Office to fully develop the book into a polished, print-ready product. This experience taught me valuable lessons about the printing process and helped me refine my illustration skills, laying the foundation for future projects, including comic book work.

The Coloring book was requested to feature one of the many talented K-9 units.
Judge stood out to myself and the other students as the perfect candidate as he often visited children & seniors. Below is where we landed during the Design-a-Thon.
On a sweet note, Judge recently retired and is enjoying a relaxed, family-centric lifestyle as a good boy according to the Sheriff Office’s Youtube Channel.
