This Page is still a work in progress, but I feel as though it’s important to show the human side of actually getting these done. I’m really proud of the progress I have made and I wish to share my journey on this project.
Sleepy Hollow Climate Action Plan is an community outreach project at VHB. I had assisted with the graphics within the project to amplify under tight deadlines and small budgets to provide the necessary communication to the people of the Village of Sleepy Hollow. Considering this project started back in 2023, I wanted to explore rebranding this project on my own personal time to see how far I have come and to challenge myself as a designer.

The branding I wanted to shoot for was a calm, angular and more light approach. When trying to approach the public with a serious topic such as climate change, it’s important to have more neutral palettes and design elements. The goal is to make the report and outreach materials as clean and legible as possible without being overwhelming.
I felt it was also important to contrast the calming blues with a spooky orange that can pay homage to the history of the Village of Sleepy Hollow. Accessibility in the colors was also taken into consideration to further contrast and make the font more legible within documents.
The VHB Team did a wonderful and extensive job creating a sustainable effort to better help the people of Sleepy Hollow. See the full report and study here.
Please note, none of the original team was apart of this rebranding effort.
